Refund Policy - Fairhost (Pty) Ltd.

This Refund Policy governs all web hosting services and related products provided by Fairhost (Pty) Ltd.. The following terms set out the only conditions under which a refund may be granted. All customers must comply with these requirements for a refund to be considered.

Refund Eligibility
Refunds are available only for annual hosting plans. Monthly plans, third-party products, services, and any add-ons (such as SSL certificates, CDN services, etc.) are not refundable.
Annual Hosting Plans: Customers may request a refund for the unused portion of the annual hosting plan if the refund request is made within the first full calendar month after cancellation. A 35% administrative penalty will be applied, and the refund will only cover the unused balance.
No Refunds for Monthly Plans: Refunds for monthly hosting plans are not available under any circumstances.
Refund Request Procedure
Written Request Required: Refund requests must be submitted in writing via billing@fairhost.co.za. Requests through other channels will not be accepted.
Timeframe: Requests for refunds must be received within the first full month of cancellation. For example, if cancellation occurs on March 10, the refund request must be received by April 30. Any requests made after this time will be rejected.
Refund Processing: Refunds will be processed on the 1st of each month following approval.
Refund Calculation and Deductions
Pro-Rata Calculation: Refunds will cover the unused portion of the annual hosting plan, minus a 35% penalty fee.
Non-Refundable Charges: Any transaction fees, such as those charged by third-party payment processors (PayFast, Paystack), are non-refundable. These fees will be deducted from any refund.
Transaction Fees
Refunds will exclude any transaction fees charged by payment processors. These fees are non-refundable, and customers will be responsible for these charges during the refund process.
Third-Party Tools and Services
Fairhost does not offer refunds for any third-party products or services, including domains, SSL certificates, CDN services, or any add-ons. Any third-party purchases made through Fairhost are subject to the terms and conditions of the respective third-party providers.
Domain Name Terms
If you receive a free domain as part of a promotional yearly hosting plan:
Cancellation Before 12 Months: If you cancel your hosting plan before the completion of the 12-month term, you will be charged for the domain at the current full registration cost. You must pay this amount upon cancellation.
Completion of 12-Month Term: If you remain with us for the full 12-month term, the domain is considered fully paid and will be renewed at the standard renewal rate after the initial term.
